Closing the Books is a vital part of Bookkeeping. Your verified balances are reported to various agencies & stakeholders monthly, quarterly or annually. This workshop helps you create reliable data for Planning, Analysis & Decision Making by learning how to:

*Establish Closing Procedures
*Setup User Security
*Verify Balances
*Make Journal Entries & other Adjustments
*Secure your QuickBooks data 

This class is designed for users of any year QuickBooks Pro, Premier or Enterprise Solutions - including Accountant, Contractor, Manufacturing & Wholesale, Professional Services, Non-Profit or Retail editions. (Although other users may find it helpful, the course material does not include references for QuickBooks Online Edition or QuickBooks Pro for Mac Software.)

POWER 2018

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 10th - June 21, 2018; 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

POWER (Promoting Opportunities for Women Entrepreneurs) is an 11-week course specifically targeted to women entrepreneurs that have an idea for a product or service, and need a starting point, or women business owners that need help growing their existing small business. The 11-week series includes training in financial accounting and management, planning, marketing, and other business skills that give Power members the blueprint needed to launch or expand their own business. Set in an interactive classroom environment, classes are led by community business owners and leaders that are subject-matter experts with real business experience. Throughout the 11-week series, POWER members will develop the self-assurance and business savvy needed to launch and grow their own start-ups.

POWER is designed to promote and develop the entrepreneurial talent in women; to help them rise above socio-economic boundaries to achieve independent sufficiency. This happens through education, business training, and continuous professional mentoring.

POWER is open to all female entrepreneurs that are residents of Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties. The cost for POWER is $175 per person.

POWER 2018 begins Tuesday, April 10, 2018 through Thursday, June 21, 2018. Classes will meet each Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Cornerstone Alliance offices, 80 West Main, Benton Harbor, MI 49022. Attendance is mandatory for each class during the 11-weeks. Are you a female entrepApplications are now being accepted for the 2018 session! Ten applicants will be selected to participate in POWER 2018 based on applications and face-to-face interviews.
